Description

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark's wedding dress was created by Danish designer Uffe Frank, who used ivory duchess satin with a mother-of-pearl sheen, fully lined with silk organza. The panels of the skirt had 9 yards of heirloom lace which belonged to the groom's great-grandmother, Queen Margaret. The gown featured a 20 foot detachable train. She also wore an heirloom veil which had first been worn in 1905 by Queen Margaret. She is the first in-law to wear the family heirloom veil.
